BURNSTAD RACING

My name is Jonathan Burnstad. I grew up in Camrose, Alberta a small town just one hour south east of Edmonton. I graduated in 2011 from Sait Polytechnic with honors in Mechanical Engineering Tech.  I developed oilfield equipment for Sparta Engineering until 2014 when I made the move to Cargill.

I started drifting in 2013 with my street driven 1985 Toyota Corolla, this car evolved over a few years. In its final form the car had a hand built carbon fiber body, twin turbo rotary, with a Winters quick change rearend. I drove this up until I was picked up by Zestino Tires Canada for the 2017 season. For Zestino tires I drove one of their 1992 Mazda Rx7 with a big single turbo and a custom port by 4Kruzn. Competing against 26 drivers, team member ConroyGanson and I tied for second overall in the 2017 Spec-d Championship to win our Pro-2 License!
